PROJECT RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
Elucidating Human Milk Composition and its Impact on Biological Pathways
To elucidate the composition of human milk and investigate its impact on key biological pathways for infant health and development and to contribute valuable insights that bridge the gap in our understanding of how human milk composition contributes to optimal infant growth, neurodevelopment, and overall well-being.
Development of an Innovative Infant Nutrition Design Platform
To develop an innovative infant nutrition platform for designing nutrition strategies to individual infant needs, exploiting the knowledge provided by the consortium and project activities. The project focuses on preterm infants, those with congenital heart defects, mothers unable to produce breast milk, and new-borns facing cardiological challenges. GALATEA aims to impact on the nutritional care and overall well-being of infants and parents facing diverse health circumstances.
Transfer of Knowledge and Multidisciplinary Integration of Competencies
This objective focuses on establishing the effective exchange of knowledge and integration of multidisciplinary competences among the project team members.
